It wouldn’t be wrong to consider Facebook as a huge source of ideas, feedback, and opinions. Whether you are looking to get a quick response to logo design or online course ideas, Facebook is the place where people usually hang out and show up.
Facebook Groups are an absolute hotbed for genuine industry conversations. They can be beneficial for finding new blog post topics. But, how?
It’s simple. Identify and visit popular groups where think have an audience or your prospects are and customers hang out, monitor the conversations and observe what type of questions they are asking.that they have. You can learn a lot from seeing what your prospects say to each other. If you are active in these groups, you might have already noticed some questions and their solutions too.
Try to target private groups. While there is some value in reading public Facebook Groups, private groups tend to be better moderated and thus have more interesting and insightful conversations.
Finding groups is also simple. Just type a keyword into the standard Facebook search bar at the top of the page. When that loads, select “Groups.” Groups that are relevant to the keyword will be displayed and will also provide some stats to give you an idea of how active each group is.
Start by finding subreddits that are related to your niche. The easiest way to find subreddits is to search for them on the Reddit.com homepage. For example, let’s say your company offers a tool for WordPress, simply search for WordPress and you’ll find reddit.com/r/wordpress as the top subreddit, as well as hundreds of more subreddits like r/entrepreneur, r/blogs, r/blogsnark, and r/blogging
Join all the subreddits related to your niche, which will allow you to participate in them by asking questions, responding to questions, and posting other media into them like pictures, videos, and links to your blog posts.
Quora is an international Question and Answer (Q&A) website that features questions with answers containing facts, opinions and humorous stories that are voted on by Quora members.
In order to find new blog post ideas for your blog, you need to follow the instructions below:
- Go to Quora.
- Type your topic into the search bar. Quora will populate the list with common topics.

- Answer an unanswered question on Quora (optional).
- Take your answer and transform that same content into a blog post.

6. Twitter Hashtag
Twitter is good social media tool for interaction and a place to find new blog post topics. If you are consistent on twitter, you notice hundreds of posts in an hour.
Hashtags are a handy way of grouping and categorizing tweets, and they help people follow topics in which they’re interested. Anyone searching for a specific topic can find relevant tweets immediately rather than having to scroll through their Twitter feed.

10. Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is the most free keyword research tool that helps you find new keyword ideas and their rankings for your Google Ads, but it can also be a very useful tool for keyword research for content creation and SEO purposes.

Go to Keyword Planner and write your topic of interest. You’ll find multiple keywords around that particular topic. Now, you can find keywords and create a blog topic of it. You can always play around with the tool and collect some good ideas for blogging.

- Get search volume and forecasts – to “see search volume and other historical metrics for your keywords, as well as forecasts for how they might perform in the future.”
11. Answer the public
Answer the Public is a keyword research tool that creates simple visualizations out of the suggested search terms provided by Google and Bing.
Rather than manually enter your keywords into Google and collect the suggested autocomplete yourself, Answer the Public automates the process and provides potential topics for your keywords based on what people are actively searching for. It’s basically a visual keyword tool which helps to find new blog post topics and questions.
How can you use answer the public to find new blog post topics?
Go to the site and enter your keyword. The visual image takes a few minute to load. This gives you two images; one for questions and other for prepositions.

2. Domain Based Search
You can use BuzzSumo for competitor research. Just enter a competitor’s URL to see which of their content pieces has been shared the most on social media. Then you can note down the topics that have performed well for your competition and create content around those topics.

Use these title generators and analyzers to find some blogging ideas. Enter a keyword into the generator, hit enter, and see what post topics it recommends.

Identifying organic keywords that are sure to become even more popular within the near future is incredibly valuable and can give you a leg up on the competition.
If one of your blog post or products starts getting a ton more mentions than any other, you know it’s probably a good idea to be creating a lot of content for that target customer.

19. Content Gaps with Ahrefs
What works well for your competitors might also work well for you. Do some research to find out where the gaps are in your competition’s strategy, what keywords your competitors rank for, and check out their top performing articles.
We like to use Ahrefs “Content Gap” feature, which allows you to compare your site (or a competitor’s) to other sites in your niche to identify keywords that you are not currently ranking for.
The key here is to identify opportunities with a low enough keyword difficulty where you can create some unique content and take a slice of the pie. Could you expand on what has already been written and dramatically improve it? Do you have a new and interesting angle on the same topic? Have you got proprietary data which you can use to craft a new and interesting blog post?
In identifying gaps in your competitor’s strategy, you can find new blog post topics and create a more well-rounded content operation.
Remember to write down your ideas in your spreadsheet so that you can revisit and investigate further.
20. Examine Topsy
Topsy is my go-to tool to find new blog post topics. It analyzes its index of hundreds of billions of tweets -since 2006-and gives you the most popular and relevant tweets. Because it directly searches through tweets, it’s very effective at finding posts that have received a lot of shares.
Here’s what you do:
- Go to Topsy and type in a keyword in the search bar.
- The default search results show links and images for your topic that are trending on Twitter. You want to see every post that has ever been written on your keyword to find the most shared ones. Change the time restraint on the left side of the page to all time.
21. Expand Existing Content
One thing you can do to find new blog post ideas is through expanding old blog content. Google favors fresh content, meaning content that has been recently published or recently updated.
Do you have any posts that have performed exceedingly well in organic search or have gained a lot of traction on social media? This are blog posts that Weeks, months and years after publication, they still bring in a steady stream of new visitors. Use that success as a sign that the topic you covered might be worth investing in further.
Go to Google Analytics, take a look at your posts that have done well and brainstorm new ways that you can cover and expand upon the topic to create value for your audience. This time, try to work more on headlines and see if it works.
Updating posts is a great SEO tactic to catch some low-hanging fruit and get even more people reading your post.
When a group brainstorms, they generally feed off of each other, and one person’s ideas will prompt another person’s idea.

This industry leaders will give you some promotion, a backlink, maybe some social media mentions. You get a bunch of content written for you. This is one of the most common way used by large companies to find new blog post topics.
You can take this practice to the next level, combine dozens of tips or insights from industry leaders into a single article. This also has the added bonus of giving all the contributors the incentive to share it with their own audiences.

Another way to piggyback on sharing experiences is to share behind-the-scenes information. Talk about your unique processes, habits, tactics, and whatnot. Share your secrets.
try to relate content back to your real-life experiences. That way you can input your own knowledge into the content you write rather than just re-purposing other people’s words and research
If the actual story of your experience isn’t that interesting, take a more analytical approach to it. Turn it into a case study.
Never discount your own experiences when thinking about what your readers are interested in.
In most cases, you’ve actually been in your reader’s shoes before. You have to relate to your readers. So by talking about things you’ve gone through, you’re likely talking about stuff that’s happened to them, too.
Sharing your successes makes your brand more human. It allows your audience to become aware of the work and preparation that goes into achieving those heights and can serve as a blueprint for other entrepreneurs and startups.

- Use a feed reader (we like Feedly) to subscribe to your favourite blogs and check in once a day to see what’s been published.
- Sign up to the newsletters of your favourite blogs so that you never miss a post
- Put some time in the calendar every week as designated blog reading time for inspiration and ideas

The importance of FAQs, or Frequently Asked Questions, in any company is that this page allows for visitors to find answers to all their questions in one place.
Not only does it make life easier for your website visitors, it can save your company time and resources because you don’t have as many clients contacting you for answers.
The other reason is because they’ve highlighted the issues and questions that a majority of their customers ask on a regular basis.
Your customers come to you with questions because they see you as a knowledgeable resource. It’s very likely there are others out there who have the same questions.
The questions you receive (in person, and via phone and email) are a great starting point for a blog post. Create individual blog posts for any question that requires a longer response.

You can also turn a product demo or other type of “how to” video into a blog post.

What can beat your own creativity? Nothing! Your creativity is different from others as well as your own skills. Creativity that others may probably not have.
